Author Guidelines
Authors intending to submit manuscripts to Fintech: Journal of Islamic Finance are required to adhere to the following guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and academic integrity.
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Submissions should be written in clear and academic English.
- The manuscript must align with the journal’s focus on Islamic finance and financial technology.
- All submissions must be made through the journal’s online submission system (OJS).
2. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
- Title (concise and informative, maximum 15 words)
- Author(s) Information (full name, affiliation, email, and SINTA/ORCID ID if available)
- Abstract (150–250 words, in a single paragraph)
- Keywords (3–5 relevant keywords)
- Introduction (background, research problem, objectives)
- Literature Review (theoretical framework and previous studies)
- Research Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion (including implications and recommendations)
- References
- Formatting Guidelines
- Manuscripts should be between 5,000–8,000 words.
- Use Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
- Paper size: A4, with standard margins (2.5 cm on all sides).
- Use clear headings and subheadings.
- Foreign terms (including Arabic terms) should be italicized.
4. Citation and References
- The journal adopts the APA (American Psychological Association) style for citation and references.
- All references cited in the text must be listed in the reference section and vice versa.
- Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.
- At least 70% of references should be from recent sources (last 5–10 years) and from reputable journals.
5. Tables, Figures, and Illustrations
- Tables and figures must be clearly labeled and numbered consecutively.
- Each table/figure should include a title and source (if applicable).
- Ensure that all visual materials are of high resolution and relevant to the discussion.
6. Ethical Considerations
- Authors must comply with the journal’s publication ethics.
- Any research involving human participants must include ethical clearance where applicable.
- Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
7. Review and Revision Process
- All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
- Authors are required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments and submit a response to reviewers.
8. Submission Checklist
Before submission, authors should ensure that:
- The manuscript follows the journal template and formatting guidelines;
- The abstract and keywords are properly provided;
- All references are complete and formatted correctly;
- The manuscript is free from plagiarism;
- Author details are correctly entered in the submission system.
